I just bought a set of Rubbermaid Food Storage Containers and i love them because the lids snap on the bottom.?
They stack inside of each other which saves room. My problem is i like to send food and treats to family and like the "disposable " containers found in grocery stores but can not find a brand where the lids snap either on the bottom or together and i am tired of looking and digging trying to find them in a lower cabinet. Anyone know the brand name of containers that would have this feature? Thank You. P.S I do not like sending my "good" ones as sometimes i don't get them back or forget who i gave them to.

I don't know of such a product. I don't think it exists. Gladware makes those disposable ones you can get at the supermarket. I don't tend to throw them out.

Food Storage Container Cracked.?
I purchased a set of Rubbermaid Premier food storage containers. Recently, one of the containers cracked at the bottom while I was heating my food, and now it leaks so I can't use that particular one. I was wondering what caused this to happen so that I don't break all the others that I have. The microwave I used does not rotate, but it says it's microwave safe. Any ideas?

How do you get rid of kitchen moths/weevils? I couldn't be more grossed out right now as I am a cleaning?
fanatic and I noticed a few moths in my pantry a few days ago, and today now a couple little weevil (i guess) inch worm looking things. Ugggghh!!! I have thrown out just about everything opened/closed in a bag/box. Only kept things in jars/cans. Bleached and emptied everything in pantry. Now I am about to set off some kind of bug bomb in there. Please, any suggestions are appreciated. Where do these originate? How do i keep it from happening again once problem is resolved? I have bought more ziploc bags/air tight rubbermaid containers for storage....what else might I do? I wonder if they were in something that sat on a store shelf too long. I'm completely baffled......and having a bad night :)

Airtight containers are your only answers. Yes to your question did they come from something that sat on your shelf too long but could come from something you recently bought. Mostly these critters are called drugstore beetles. Check them out online. They not only love your teas, cocoas, grains etc. but they love potpourris. Zip locks are not good enough, only air tight works. They can eat through anything loosely plastic. They come in the products such as grains and whatever is in potpourries but will travel to all foods. Find the source and eradicate it. Put all your foods and grains in airtight packaging and you will be fine. I had them once and we have always had Orkin on account every 3 months. They didn't or couldn't figure it out. I did it online and eradicated the little critters. Haven't had them since. It's been 4 years. My pantry is definitely plastic encased.
