I have a kitchenaid mixer that is stained with brown spots. My mix is white. Is there a stain remover for it.?
Looking for stain remover for my white kitchenaid mixer. stains are brown and will not come off. Can anyone help me?

My first answer is try a magic eraser. You can buy them at walmart cheap and i havent found ANYTHING these wont remove. (I even removed permanent marker from my walls with it) You could also try a little baking soda and water. the abrasiveness of the baking soda may remove the stains. Another thing ive found that works well for almost any stain is oxy clean. The kind i have is for laundry, but it removed spilled pen ink in my white plastic trash can. Good luck!

White kitchenaid mixer. Stained and unable to remove?
i have submitted this question with no results to the spots. My white mixer is permanantly stained with brown spots. Magic eraser did nothing. any other answers would be appreciated

You're dealing with painted metal; Kitchen Aid mixer housings are all metal. I'd try some Barkeeper's Friend. Barkeeper's is a powdered cleanser similar to scouring powder but not nearly as harsh. It works great on anything metal. I'd dampen the area with the spots (lay the mixer down if you have to), sprinkle some of the Barkeeper's on a sponge and kind of smear the powder over the area. Then walk away for 10 minutes or so to let the cleanser work. Another thing that works on mine when I have missed cleaning up under the power head is to lay the mixer on it's side and take a damp microfiber cloth that has nothing more than hot, soapy, clean dishwater on it and just lay the cloth over the spots and let the cloth soften them up for 15 minutes or so. Then go back and scrub off. The key is the microfiber cloth; they wipe up and clean better than any sponge or dish rag. Believe it or not, a quick coat of car wax on the metal portions of the mixer makes clean up a lot easier and restores the shine to the paint. The wax keeps the gunk from sticking in the first place. If worst comes to worst, see if you can find an auto body shop who would be willing to repaint the mixer for you. After seeing Alton Brown's (Food Network host) Kitchen Aid mixer with the flames, I've contemplated this one....

We just bought a new kitchenaid dishwasher and the first load of dishes left a white chalky residue on the pot?
We have hard water. I used a "finish" gel pack and Jet Dry. What am i doing wrong? We are very disappointed with this outcome!!! Help please. the colander was stainless steel, but the pot was not...

I would have run an initial wash cycle with NO dishes first to clean out the washer. . .

KitchenAid Recipe for white bread?
I cant seem to find the little cookbook that came with my kitchenaid when i bought it. However there was a wonderful recipe for white bread in it (the mixer is about 9 years old i believe) and i was wondering if anyone could provide that recipe for me or has a link to the recipe

I found my booklet. Here goes: Basic White Bread 1/2 cup low fat milk 3 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons salt 3 tablespoons butter or margarine 2 packages active dry yeast 1 1/2 cups warm water (105 F to 115 F) 5 to 6 cups all-purpose flour In saucepan, heat milk, sugar, salt and butter over low heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water in warmed mixer bowl.Add lukewarm milk mixture and 4 1/2 cups flour. Attach bowl and dough hook to mixer. Turn to speed 2, add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, and mix until dough clings to hook and cleans side of bowl, about 2 minutes. Knead on speed 2 about 2 minutes longer, or until dough is smooth and elastic. Dough will be slightly sticky to the touch. Place dough in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover. Let rise in warm place about 1 hour, or until doubled in bulk. Punch dough down and divide in half. Shape each half into a loaf (as directed on page 66*) and place in greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pans. Cover. Let rise in warm place about i hour or until doubled in bulk. Bake at 400 F until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Remove from pans immediately and cool on wire racks. * page 66: Divide the dough in half. On a lightly floured surface, roll each half into a rectangle, approximately 9 x 14 inches. Starting at a short end, roll the dough tightly. Pinch to seal the seam. Pinch the ends and turn them under. Placethe dough, seam side down, in a loaf pan.
