Could someone help please?
Okay, here is the deal. I am remodeling my kitchen and am having a hard time deciding. Please give me your opinion. I am getting an artisan stand mixer by KitchenAid. Tangerine or pink? If it is tangerine, I will get a chrome KitchenAid food processor and blender. If it is pink, I will also get those, BUT I will get pink knives, spoons, cups, etc. I kinda don't want to be stuck on one color, but I am asking your opinion. Not anyone elses, YOURS. By the way, could you give me some color schemes for the tangerine?

I truly am a little adverse to pink, I would reconsider and maybe go for a dark green? Green would go with tangerine OR pink but not look so... "girlie"? (Can't quite find the right wording there). It may be a little to much of a much if you know what I mean, if you were to have too much pink. Just my humble opinion, lol.

KitchenAid KV25GOXMC Professional 5 Plus 5-Quart Stand Mixer, Metallic Chrome
KitchenAid KV25GOXMC Professional 5 Plus 5-Quart Stand Mixer, Metallic Chrome
The Professional 5 Plus has a powerful 450-watt motor that delivers enough power to handle the heaviest mixtures, and mixes large batches easily. This special bowl lift model has brackets on the bowl that fit over support pins on the stand mixer, which is than lifted up by a handle on the right side of the mixer to lock the bowl in place while mixing (this design is made to handle heavy mixtures and large recipes). The 5-quart polished stainless steel bowl is dishwasher safe. Its ergonomically designed handle is contoured to fit the hand and makes lifting the bowl more comfortable. This mixer also features a unique mixing action: the beater spins clockwise as the shaft spins counter clockwise, moving the beater to 67 different points around the bowl. This distinctive mixing action creates a thorough blend of ingredients and eliminates the need to rotate the bowl. 10 speeds allow the user to select the right speed for the mixing job, from very high to a very slow stir.

I've decided to purchase this stand mixer for my mom's upcoming 50th birthday, but i don't know which color?
should i get chrome or brushed nickle? i've been debating back and fourth. her kitchen has white cabinets and greyish granite counter top. thank you very much http://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-KSM152PSCR-Artisan-5-Quart-Chrome/dp/B000BY4ZZQ

Brushed nickel would probably go better with the grey granite and also be easier to keep looking clean than the chrome, but I think white would be a better choice than either one.

Which stand mixer do you think I should get my mom?
right now i'm narrowed down to these 2: KitchenAid KSM158GBCA 90th Anniversary Limited-Edition 5-Quart Stand Mixer, 1. http://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-KSM158GBCA-Anniversary-Limited-5-Quart/dp/B002JB1BRO or KitchenAid Artisan Custom Metallic Series 5-Quart Mixer 2. http://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-KSM152PSCR-Artisan-5-Quart-Chrome/dp/B000BY4ZZQ I'm now leaning more towards the custom metallic one because it looks much better than the 90th anniversary candy apple red in terms of matching her granite kitchen counter top (which is light greyish and her cabinets are white)....but if i choose this one...which color? the Chrome or Brushed Nickle...thats another hard decision. thank you very much

What a thoughtful person you are! Your mother will certainly appreciate your kindness and generosity! Both KitchenAid mixers that you've selected have 10 speeds and fairly powerful 325-watt motors, so your choice between these two will probably be based on other pros and cons. The 90th Anniversary Limited Edition mixer (#1) is all metal, with an extra factory paint coating unlike other KitchenAid mixers. This can be very useful since these mixers can last for decades and can be passed down to future generations. Unlike the Artisan Custom Metallic mixer (#2), it has a glass bowl instead of a metal one. A glass bowl is essential to beating egg whites into a good meringue! While this glass bowl might be a bit heavier to lift than the metal bowl that comes with mixer #2, there's a price difference of $81.30 between these two mixers since mixer #2 is more expensive. If you go with #2, the brushed nickel would be a better choice since, unlike the chrome, it won't show fingerprints, etc.; however, for this price difference, you could buy your mom a metal mixing bowl for $42.95 and still come out ahead. You could even buy her a cover for her mixer with this savings! For $101.95, you could actually buy a group of attachments for her new mixer which she'd probably find very useful. That savings of $81.30 between the two mixers you're considering could go a long way towards these attachments! I personally like the candy apple red color of #1 especially if your mom has a more monochromatic (greyish and white) kitchen. Plus, the fact that this is a Limited Edition in celebration of the KitchenAid 90th Anniversary makes it even more unique! I think it's great that you're buying this gift for your mother. You and she must be very special! I truly hope this is helpful! All the best to you and your mom! P.S. 3/15/10 - I just noticed at http://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-KP26M1XNP-Professional-6-Quart-Nickel/dp/B0002Y5X9W/ref=pd_sim_k_2 that Amazon.com is selling a KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer in a Nickel Pearl (gray) color for $375.19 which includes free shipping. I have this professional-grade mixer and I absolutely love it! It has an extremely powerful 575-watt motor (much stronger than the 325-watt motors of the two mixers you're currently considering), plus a 6-quart stainless steel bowl instead of the 5-quart bowls in your first two choices. This mixer also includes many more free accessories. If your mother will be using her mixer to kneed bread dough, this professional mixer is the best work horse! The other two have tilt-back heads to get at or inside the bowls and this one has a crank which lifts the head up and makes it easier to get into the bowl with a spatula, etc. I don't want to complicate things for you or make your selection more difficult, but I *did* want to let you know about this excellent option -- just in case! You really can't go wrong with *any* KitchenAid mixer. They're all great! All the best! .

Which color looks better?
I am remodeling my kitchen and FINALLY getting a KitchenAid mixer. What color? The rest of my appliances will be chrome. They have the regular chrome mixer (not metallic chrome) on another website. Well, tough luck because I have $350 rewards for Williams-Somona so I have to pick one of the colors below. NOT PINK. Please pick a color and tell a reason why you chose it. Empire Red $299.95 Komen Pink $299.95 Clementine $299.95 Buttercup Yellow $299.95 Sunshine Yellow New Exclusive $299.95 Lemongrass $299.95 Grass Green New Exclusive $299.95 Cornflower Internet Only $299.95 French Blue New Exclusive $299.95 Cobalt Blue Internet Only $299.95 Onyx Black $299.95 White $299.95 Metallic Chrome $299.95

I would have to ask what color your decor would be in your re-model. Any of these colors would go with chrome but would they co-ordinate with your decor is the real question, lol!! I would truly stay with neutral colors that can fit into any kitchen, should you decide to re-paint, tile or paper in a couple of years. Personally, I am a big fan of black with chrome - it's safe, easy and never seems to go out of style, unless you have a "country" kitchen in which case I would opt for one of the blues!! I thought YOU were the guru of I.D, lol - I have enjoyed a lot of your answers - good luck and have fun with the re-model.
